how it works
PRP stimulates a controlled inflammatory response to produce new collagen to tighten the skin and leads to hair growth on the scalp and eyebrows. Platelets release small molecules that act as messengers to regulate tissue healing. This unique blend of wound healing and growth factor platelets can rejuvenate your skin by minimizing fine lines and aid in improving your collagen quality and levels.
3 ways that our patients typically use PRP:
Hair Growth: PRP can be injected into the scalp to stimulate drastic hair growth
After Ellacor: PRP can help speed up healing after your treatment
Liquid Facelift: Dr. Gunn’s signature treatment which will leave you looking and feeling lifted and refreshed! Combining Radiesse, PRP (or Sculptra), and Skinvive will give you instant lifting, increased volume, and hydration with gradual skin tightening.

Is this also the Vampire Facial? How do you obtain the PRP?
Yes this is the exact procedure of a vampire facial because the treatment is obtain by doing a simple blood draw just like any lab blood test. The system is closed and safe unlike Vampires though.
Is the treatment painful?
At Gunn Dermatology we use many modalities to limit pain. This treatment is no more painful than most blood draws and medicine injections.
How long does the treatment last?
Like most treatments, PRP reverses the signs of aging. However the process continues and the need for retreatment is purely dependent on how fast we are aging or loosing hair.
Are PRP treatments safe?
Yes! Other than bruising most other risks are rare. Most bruising is minimal but some bruising should be expected.
