The Tetra CO2 laser works by utilizing fractional ablative laser technology, which delivers targeted columns of laser energy into the skin. CO2 lasers operate at a wavelength of 10,600 nm, which is highly absorbed by water in skin cells. This allows for precise tissue vaporization and ablation, effectively removing damaged outer layers while promoting neocollagenesis (the formation of new collagen).   • The Tetra CO2 treatment typically takes 30 to 60 minutes, depending on the treatment area and the intensity of the procedure. Lighter resurfacing sessions, such as CoolPeel®, can be completed in as little as 15 to 30 minutes, while more aggressive resurfacing may take closer to an hour.

  • The number of recommended Tetra CO2 sessions depends on the individual’s skin concerns and treatment goals.

    Since collagen production continues for months after treatment, results improve over time, and many patients benefit from annual maintenance treatments to preserve long-term skin health and youthfulness.

  • A post treatment cream and skin care plan will be suggested for you to use for at least 7 days after the the treatment.  Most patients do not plan outside activities for 7 days but normal clean indoor activities can be performed. 

  • Patients can expect some redness and mild swelling immediately after treatment, but downtime varies based on the depth and intensity of the session. Lighter treatments may require just a few days of recovery, whereas deeper resurfacing can involve 7 to 10 days of healing time before the skin fully rejuvenates.
