The Tetra CoolPeel® system utilizes an advanced fractional CO2 laser that delivers ultra-short, high-peak power pulses to the skin’s surface with precise energy control. This creates microthermal zones—tiny, controlled injuries in the epidermis—stimulating the body’s natural wound healing response. As a result, the production of new collagen and elastin is accelerated, leading to improved skin texture, reduction in fine lines, and overall skin rejuvenation.

Immediately After Treatment:
- You may experience a mild burning or tingling sensation that subsides within a few hours.
- Apply a cold compress or use a cool mist to soothe the skin.
- Avoid touching or rubbing the treated area.
First 24 Hours:
- Keep the skin clean and moisturized with a gentle, fragrance-free cleanser and moisturizer.
- Avoid using makeup, sunscreen, or any active ingredients (e.g., retinol, salicylic acid) for at least 24 hours.
- Do not engage in strenuous activities or sweat excessively.
Days 2-7:
- Continue to cleanse and moisturize the skin regularly.
- You may notice some redness, swelling, or crusting. This is normal and will gradually subside.
- Apply a thin layer of ointment or bandage as directed by your provider to protect the skin.
- Avoid sun exposure and wear a broad-spectrum sunscreen (SPF 30 or higher) when outdoors.
After 7 Days:
- You can gradually resume your regular skincare routine, including makeup and active ingredients.
- However, avoid using harsh scrubs or exfoliators for at least 1 week.
- Continue to wear sunscreen daily to protect the newly treated skin.
- Attend follow-up appointments as scheduled by your provider to monitor healing and discuss any concerns.
Additional Tips:
- Use a soft, non-abrasive washcloth to cleanse the skin.
- Avoid hot showers or baths for the first few days.
- Use a cool mist humidifier to keep the air moist.
- If you experience any excessive redness, swelling, pain, or discharge, contact your provider immediately.
- Who is a good candidate? CoolPeel is suitable for most skin types and can help with fine lines, sun damage, pores, and skin texture.
- How long does it take? A full-face CoolPeel can take 15–30 minutes.
- How many treatments are needed? 1–4 treatments may be recommended, depending on the desired outcome.
- What is the recovery time? There is minimal downtime, but you may be red for a day or two. Your skin may also feel dry and scaly.
- What should I avoid after treatment? You should avoid makeup for at least 48 hours and protect your skin from the sun.
- When can I return to my skincare routine? You should consult your provider about when you can return to your skincare routine.

- Who should not get CoolPeel? People with active sunburns, pregnancies, hemorrhagic disorders, diabetes, epilepsy, bell's palsy, or autoimmune diseases should not get CoolPeel.
- Is CoolPeel® painful?
  CoolPeel® is well-tolerated with minimal discomfort. Most patients report a mild warming sensation during the procedure, but no numbing is typically required.
